Privacy Policy

Introduction​

Melcor is a web platform that allows users to sell and buy goods and services using digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain. We use a distributed IPFS system to store metadata and images and The Graph to extract data from the blockchain.

Data Collection and Utilization​

  • Blockchain Data: All transactions conducted on the Melcor platform are public and can be viewed on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • IPFS Data: Metadata and images uploaded to the platform are stored in IPFS and are publicly available.
  • Messenger Data: Chats between users are encrypted and protected from unauthorized access.

Data Protection​

  • Escrow Mechanism: The platform utilizes an escrow mechanism where a third party acts as a guarantor to secure transactions.
  • Collateral Deposit Mechanism: Both parties to a transaction make a security deposit into a smart contract, which is returned upon successful completion of the transaction.

User Rights​

  • Users have the right to access their data stored on the platform.
  • Users can remove some of their data from the sub-grid, except for data that is necessary to make the blockchain function.
